Having a shared love of the Kimberley landscape originating from when they met in Kununurra, Broome and Eco Beach were an obvious choice for Ash and Dom to have their intimate group of close friends and family come and join them for an incredible four days of wedding celebrations at a beautiful location that really highlighted everything they love about each other and the country and region that is so special to them.
The day before the wedding involved beach cricket and a bright array of Hawaiian shirts over the afternoon followed by an evening get together at Jack’s Restaurant overlooking a perfect Eco Beach sunset where friends and family got to know one another over burgers and beverages. This was the perfect event to set the mood for the following day.
Ash and Dom spent the morning of the wedding day preparing separately with their bridal parties – Ash and her bridesmaids in a villa overlooking the ocean, Dom and his groomsmen in the Dragonfly Sanctuary Yoga Studio. Once everyone was good to go it was a 10-minute walk for the blokes down the beach to Sunset Point and a 2-minute drive in the Polaris for Ash, her Maid of Honour and her parents. Under the guidance of the at times hilarious, at times emotional but at all times beautiful Elle Saunders, Ash and Dom exchanged vows and rings and said “I do” as the sun set on Eco Beach. Champagne and cheese followed whilst the guests congratulated and celebrated the newlyweds.
A photo shoot of the Bride and Groom with their guests, then on their own in front of the pindan cliffs and sandy shores so distinct to the area led to a gorgeous long table reception back at the Resort involving a 3-course meal prepared by Chef Luke Sutherland and dancing to music on the sand around an open fire pit into the early hours of the morning.
The day after the wedding Ash, Dom reunited with all of their guests at the beach for another day of celebrating which involved swimming, water sports, fishing, reminiscing over the previous day and enjoying leftover champagne and cheese.
